Culture Roll is a new sport made up of unique skate styles that are historically black in origin. Each skate style has its' unique history and origin story. For the African American community, Roller Skating is a cultural art form passed down from generation to generation. Each generation had to overcome its' own challenges and obstacles for roller skating to be what it is today. Since our inception, the African American community has never stopped skating and we never will. Through roller skating, we have been able to change the world for the better. As skaters, we have learned about our culture, community, and our many contributions to this art form over time. We have been empowered by our knowledge of self which is critical to our continued elevation.
